I Am Mango

Welcome to Home Trends & Design’s blog.  Who am I?  I am a Mango tree and live in a mountain valley on the other side of the world.  I wish to relate to you the magical, mysterious, ecological properties that make us here in the Mango grove so unique— and create the wonderful wood that is turned into Home Trends & Design’s beautiful, interesting pieces to furnish your home.

I have been cultivated in India for over 4,000 years and am a symbol of love & fertility.  When my friends around me stop bearing fruit, instead of growing old and falling over, they are harvested and transformed into delightful furniture, allowing younger trees to be planted in their place.  It is a self-sustaining, ecological cycle that has been going on for a very long time.

Excuse me, please.  Mr. Ravi Shankar’s Spirit is passing through on the wind, and it’s starting to rain.  I will blog more when I am refreshed.

  1. Yes, nice history. In India every state have mango trees. Major two type, One Juicy and 2nd to cut.
Every mango known by its own name. Eg. In Gujarat it is known as “KESHAR” , In Maharastra it is known as “HAFUS” – “ALFANZO”. In U.P. it is known as “LANGADO”. In south Juicy mango is very famous, it is known as “RAJAPURI”.
